    4. Pour batter into greased dish. Sprinkle the blackberries evenly over the batter.
    5. Sprinkle 1/4 cup of sugar over the blackberries evenly.
    6. Sprinkle cinnamon and nutmeg over the top of the sugar.
    7. Bake uncovered approximately 1 hour until bubbly and edges pull away from pan. In last ten minutes of baking sprinkle last 2 tbs of sugar on top.
    8. Serve warm or cooled with ice cream/whipped cream. Tastes even better the next day!
